Research fees

Our £10-a-minute rate assumes you can supply us with an accurate shooting script or transcript for your video. If you can't, we may end up having to do some research for you, because we don't like to let any subtitles or captions out of our sight unless we know they're 100% accurate.

We're not talking about spelling and grammar here, by the way. Those will be near-perfect every time, research or no research. No, we mean things like people's names, lyrics of songs, continuity of spellings with your other videos, and correct capitalisation of place names and institutions. Things that are specific to your video, in other words.

Now, we may not have to spend much time on the research, in which case everything’s fine and dandy at £10 a minute. But in the event that there’s no script and the research takes us a significant amount of time, we'll add a research fee of £2 per minute of footage to the price of your project.
